⚠️ Pre-Installation Checklist
Before running the .exe file, ensure your system meets these requirements to prevent errors during the database installation:
Check if there's any specific order for configuring the software. Maybe the device must be connected and configured before adding users. Also, after installation, first-time setup might require creating an admin account with a password. Maybe the software comes with a default admin password, which the user might need to note. Phase 1: Preparation
- Disable Windows Defender Real-time Protection or any third-party antivirus temporarily (white-list the installer folder after installation).

services.msc and stop any previous ZKBioTime background services.
- Back up your existing database using the integrated
DbBackupTool.exe found in the previous install’s Server\Tools folder.
- Check if the
ZKBioTime Service is running in Windows Services (services.msc). Restart it if it is stopped.
