Key Premise:
Humanity has abandoned the surface. You play as Kai, a young "Abyss Walker" capable of bonding with mutated deep-sea creatures known as Aberrants. Your goal is not to catch them all, but to survive the crushing pressure of the Mariana Trench while uncovering why the sea monsters have begun communicating in fractured human language.   • Appearance: A creature with a monkey’s mouth, fish scales, and a human head. Often depicted as beautiful or grotesque.
  • Legend: Eating its flesh grants immortality (like the legend of Yao Bikuni, a woman who lived 800 years). However, catching one brings storms and shipwrecks.
  • Twist: Unlike Western mermaids, Ningyo are seen as omens of disaster, not romance.

The shark swam directly into the creature's ventral cavity. There was no struggle. No blood. The Yosino then contracted, compressed its body to 5% of its expanded volume, and sank back into the mud—digesting internally over 72 hours.
