Watch Dogs 2 Creating Profile Data Stuck ((full)) May 2026

This is a known issue in Watch Dogs 2 on PC (especially Steam/Uplay versions). The "Creating profile data" message can get stuck due to save game corruption, permission issues, or cloud save conflicts.

Launch the game from your library. This ensures the game has permission to create and write the profile data files. Verify Game Files: watch dogs 2 creating profile data stuck

1. Go to Documents\My Games\
2. Create a new folder named exactly: Watch_Dogs 2
3. Inside that, create a folder named: LocalStorage
4. Inside LocalStorage, create a folder named: 1 (just the number)
5. Launch the game.

1. Open Epic Launcher > Library > click the three dots on Watch Dogs 2 > Manage.
2. Turn OFF "Use Cloud Saves".
3. Then verify the game files (Manage > Verify).
4. Launch the game directly from the .exe in the installation folder (...\Epic Games\WatchDogs2\bin\WatchDogs2.exe).

Right-click the Ubisoft Connect or Steam desktop shortcut and select Run as Administrator. This is a known issue in Watch Dogs
