Step 2: Create the Directory
In the SHARE partition, go to roms/. If you don't see a folder called taitotx, create it manually.
Note: Batocera distinguishes between versions: taito type x batocera
- Black Screen: If you get a black screen, the ROM dump might be incompatible with the current version of Flycast included in Batocera. You may need to look for "Flycast compatible" sets.
- Performance: Taito Type X games (like Street Fighter IV or BlazBlue) are more demanding than older arcade games. You generally need a device with x86_64 architecture (like a PC or higher-end mini PC) to run them full speed. They will likely not run well on lower-end Raspberry Pi models.
- Install Batocera: Download the Batocera image for your device and follow the installation instructions.
- Configure Batocera: Set up Batocera by configuring the user interface, setting up controllers, and selecting the Taito Type X emulator.
- Add Taito Type X ROMs: Place your Taito Type X ROMs in the correct directory, usually
