The Suspension of Disbelief

Back in Chennai, life was a tightrope walk. Leelavathi tried to be the dutiful wife, cooking elaborate feasts and waiting for her "ideal" husband. Arunachalam, however, was cracking under the pressure of maintaining Siva’s fake image. He had to pretend to hate movies, pretend to love lectures on morality, and worst of all, pretend he didn't have a funny bone in his body.

The story revolves around Arun (Ramesh Aravind), a man who becomes bored with his domestic life and his "plain" wife, Leelavathi (Kalpana). Seeking excitement, he enters into an extramarital affair with Priya (Heera Rajagopal).
