The Return of an Unlikely Icon
For the uninitiated, "Rocco" started as a simple social media account featuring a temperamental Russian blue cat named Rocco who communicated via text-to-speech captions and a signature deadpan stare. When his owner, 32-year-old travel blogger Marco Silvestri, decided to move from Rome to New York for six months in 2024, he documented Rocco’s reactions to everything from pizza slices (disdain) to the Statue of Liberty (“Too green.
