The Packix repository officially ceased operations and was archived on August 15, 2022, due to a lack of maintenance time. Users are advised to remove the repository from their managers and transition to Havoc, which serves as the official successor for many developers. - Change your DNS: Use Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google (8.8.8.8). Many ISP DNS servers block or throttle Packix.
- Use a VPN: Packix is geo-blocked in some regions (e.g., certain corporate or school networks).
- Retry manually: Tap the source, then "Refresh" 3–4 times. Packix servers occasionally get burst traffic.
- Remove and re-add the repo: Delete Packix from sources → reboot device → add again using
https://repo.packix.com.
- If a newer version is found, the system proceeds to update the repository. This involves replacing the outdated files with the latest ones and ensuring compatibility.
- Close Cydia/Sileo.
- Using Filza, navigate to
/var/lib/apt/lists/ - Delete files starting with
repo.packix.com(e.g.,repo.packix.com_dists_..._Packages). - Reopen your package manager and refresh.
