Rain Bird Sprinkler Timer Isa 304 Manual Better Here
The ISA 304 is designed for indoor use and manages up to four watering zones.
- Cycle & Soak: The ISA 304 cannot do this automatically. Manual workaround: Set 3 start times (e.g., 4:00 AM, 4:30 AM, 5:00 AM) each with 5 minutes of watering for Station 1. This prevents runoff on clay soil.
- Rain Sensor Compatibility: The ISA 304 does not have a dedicated sensor input. To add a rain sensor, you must wire it in series with the "C" (Common) wire. Cut the common wire, connect both ends to the rain sensor leads.
- Winterizing: Turn the dial to OFF. Pull all start time tripper pins out and store them in a baggie taped to the inside of the door. Remove station pins. This prevents accidental activation during freezing weather.
Auto Run: Turn the dial to "Auto/Run" to begin normal operations. Installation & Power rain bird sprinkler timer isa 304 manual
- Valve Wires: Connect one wire from each valve to terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4.
- Common Wire (C): Connect the remaining wire from every valve to the terminal labeled "C". This creates a complete circuit.
- Pump Start Relay: If you use a pump (well water, lake water), connect the relay to terminals "P" and "C". Do not connect a pump start relay to a station terminal.
- Power: Connect the transformer wires to the 120V terminal block (black to hot, white to neutral, green to ground).
- The 24-hour dial has small holes around its edge.
- Insert a skipper pin into each day you want to skip (no watering).
- Remove pins from days you want to water.
