Peacefair PZEM-051 — Practical Guide & Manual Overview
What it is
The Peacefair PZEM-051 is an inexpensive, compact DC/AC energy meter module commonly used for monitoring voltage, current, power, energy, frequency, and power factor in DIY solar, battery, inverter, and bench-test setups. It’s often seen in 12–48 V DC and single-phase AC projects paired with microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi) via a serial (TTL) interface.
- Mounting: The PZEM-051 can be mounted on a DIN rail or on a wall using screws.
- Wiring: Connect the input voltage wires to the terminal block, ensuring that the polarity is correct (L for live, N for neutral).
- Current transformer installation: For current measurement, a current transformer (CT) must be installed. The CT should be connected in series with the load. The PZEM-051 supports a maximum current of 50A.
- Do not press any buttons.
- Remove power immediately to exit without saving.
- Incorrect calibration can permanently ruin the accuracy of the meter.
4. Display Operation
The display unit cycles through parameters automatically or can be controlled manually depending on the specific sub-version. peacefair pzem-051 manual
- Short press: Cycle display between V, A, W, kWh, Ah (if supported).
- Long press (3-5 seconds): Reset accumulated energy (kWh) or Ah to zero.
- Backlight: Often toggles with a short press on a second button, or automatically when pressing any button.
How to Reset Energy (kWh) to Zero
This is the most common task.
Short press the key once while it is flashing to reset the value to zero and exit. If you do not press anything for Peacefair PZEM-051 — Practical Guide & Manual Overview
