Overview

The NU-2302 is a dental lab 3D scanner produced by Nideka. Software manages scanning, mesh processing, and exporting for CAD/CAM workflows. Common tasks: device setup, scan capture, mesh alignment/cleanup, model trimming, margin marking, and STL/OBJ export.

Backup existing machine parameters (follow the System > Backup utility).
Disable antivirus software (the real-time driver is often flagged as a false positive).
Ensure the industrial PC meets minimum specs: Intel Celeron or better, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage.

Plug the device into the PC via USB port.
On the device screen, check if it shows "USB Mode" or similar.
In the software, go to Device Management.
Click "Search Device" or "USB Connect".
Select the device from the list and click Connect.

Connectivity: The device is standalone, meaning it can function without a constant PC connection. Data is typically transferred via USB flash drive for processing in the software.

Capacity: Stores up to 1,000 fingerprint templates (expandable to 4,000) and logs up to 100,000 transactions. Nideka Nu-2302 Software

Go to Device Management.
Click "Add Device".
Enter the Device Name (e.g., "Front Door").
Enter the IP Address you set on the device.
Port: Default is usually 5005 (check device network settings).
Click Test Connection. If successful, click Save.
