Overview
- The NU-2302 is a dental lab 3D scanner produced by Nideka. Software manages scanning, mesh processing, and exporting for CAD/CAM workflows. Common tasks: device setup, scan capture, mesh alignment/cleanup, model trimming, margin marking, and STL/OBJ export.
- Backup existing machine parameters (follow the
System > Backuputility). - Disable antivirus software (the real-time driver is often flagged as a false positive).
- Ensure the industrial PC meets minimum specs: Intel Celeron or better, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage.
- Plug the device into the PC via USB port.
- On the device screen, check if it shows "USB Mode" or similar.
- In the software, go to Device Management.
- Click "Search Device" or "USB Connect".
- Select the device from the list and click Connect.
Connectivity: The device is standalone, meaning it can function without a constant PC connection. Data is typically transferred via USB flash drive for processing in the software.
Capacity: Stores up to 1,000 fingerprint templates (expandable to 4,000) and logs up to 100,000 transactions. Nideka Nu-2302 Software
- Go to Device Management.
- Click "Add Device".
- Enter the Device Name (e.g., "Front Door").
- Enter the IP Address you set on the device.
- Port: Default is usually 5005 (check device network settings).
- Click Test Connection. If successful, click Save.
