This turns into a grueling psychological horror as he watches his friends die over and over again to find the perfect timeline. Anime Recommendation: The anime is brutal and brilliant. Director Masaharu Watanabe uses the repetition to torture the protagonist. Avoid spoilers at all costs. The manga adaptation is fine, but the Light Novel (official English translation by Yen Press) is the best way to get the internal monologue.
