Method 1: Web UI Update (Easy, Preferred)

  1. Reset your router – Press and hold the reset pinhole for 10 seconds until LEDs flash.
  2. Connect your PC via Ethernet to LAN port 1.
  3. Open browser and go to 192.168.8.1 (or 192.168.1.1).
  4. Login (default: admin / admin or admin / password).
  5. Navigate to Settings > System > Update > Local Update.
  6. Select the Universal Repack .bin file.
  7. Click Update. The router will reboot twice. Do not unplug power.
  8. After reboot, perform a factory reset again.

  3. While holding WPS, plug in power.
