Genetec Config Tool Default | Password ((better))

The default login for the Genetec Config Tool immediately after a fresh installation is the username Admin with a blank password.

Method A: Change the Built-in Config Tool Password

1. Open the Config Tool using the current default password.
2. Navigate to Tools > Manage Users.
3. Select the admin user from the list.
4. Click Change Password.
5. Enter a strong password (minimum 12 characters, uppercase, lowercase, number, and symbol).
6. Click OK.

Mistake 2: Confusion with the Web Config Tool
