- Do not use the CD. Download version 5.0+ from the vendor's website or a reputable forum.
- Install the software. It will ask to install a driver. Allow it.
- If Windows complains about an unsigned driver, reboot into "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" mode (Shift + Restart → Troubleshoot → Startup Settings).
- Connect the programmer via USB. The LED should turn red (standby).
