- Download the Firmware Downgrade Utility for the ET-2750 (search for “Firmware Restore Tool ET-2750” – this is different from the regular updater).
- Disconnect your printer from the internet (block its MAC address in your router or simply unplug the Ethernet/disable Wi-Fi).
- Run the downgrade utility. Select the old firmware file (FW 1.0.6).
- Follow the on-screen instructions. The printer will reboot with the vulnerable firmware.
- Critical: After downgrading, disable automatic firmware updates in the printer’s settings menu. Otherwise, Epson will repatch it overnight.
Step 3: Run the Adjustment Program (Unpatched Version)
- Unzip the adjustment program. Disable Windows Defender or your antivirus temporarily (the program makes low-level register edits that trigger false positives).
- Right-click
AdjProg.exeand select “Run as Administrator.” - Click “Select” – choose “Epson ET-2750” from the dropdown.
- Click “Particular adjustment mode.”
- Scroll down and select “Waste ink pad counter.”
- Click “Check” to read the current counter. You will see something like “Counter: 98%” or “Counter Over limit.”
- Tick the box that says “Reset waste ink counter” (note: do not click “Initialize new pad” unless you actually replaced the sponge).
- Click “Perform.”
- Wait for the green “Success” message. Do not touch the printer during this process.
