Technical Overview: Cort Serial Number Identification and Decoding
- Locate serial number – usually on back of headstock, sometimes neck plate or inside soundhole (acoustics).
- Format check – if 10–11 digits starting with C/I/V/K/P, use the community decoder at
cortserial.com. - If ambiguous or old format – email support@cortguitars.com with:
- Locate the serial number on your Cort instrument. The serial number is usually found on the back of the headstock, on the body of the instrument, or on the neck.
- Go to the Cort Serial Number Checker webpage and enter your instrument's serial number in the designated field.
- Click on the "Check" or "Verify" button to initiate the search process.
- The Cort Serial Number Checker will then display the relevant information about your instrument, including its model, production date, and specifications.
