2.2 First Start & Signal Reception

• Upon inserting batteries, all LCD segments will flash briefly. The clock will then enter RC reception mode (antenna icon will flash).
• Do not press any buttons for the first 10 minutes.
• Place the clock near a window, away from metal objects, large appliances (TVs, microwaves), and thick concrete walls.
• Successful reception: The antenna icon becomes solid (usually between 12 AM and 4 AM when signal is strongest).
• If no signal after 10 minutes, the clock will run on quartz accuracy and retry automatically at 2:00 AM, 3:00 AM, and 4:00 AM.
