- Listen and Repeat (Active Imitation): Use the pause button. Repeat each phrase aloud, mimicking the speaker's tone and rhythm.
- Study the Notices: Read the grammar "Notice" boxes. Write your own example sentences.
- Do the Written Exercises: Complete the exercises in pencil. Check answers.
- Role-play (The Secret Sauce): Turn off the CD. Read a dialogue part aloud, then switch roles. Then replay the CD to compare.
- Review Old Units: The CDs include periodic review sections (every 5 units) that test retention.
