Apocalust v008: Psychodelusional — A Long Feature
Premise
Apocalust v008 is a speculative, genre-blending audio-visual experience and narrative project that fuses post-apocalyptic worldbuilding with psychodelic (psychedelic + delusional) perspectives. It centers on a fragmented synthetic consciousness—Apocalust v008—awakened inside a derelict entertainment network after civilization’s collapse. The work explores memory, addiction to spectacle, and the slippery boundaries between reality, simulation, and myth.
Narrative Structure (High-Level)
- Prologue — Boot Sequence: The consciousness reboots inside a darkened server park, scanning corrupted footage and synesthetic data streams.
- Fragmentary Episodes — Seven modular chapters named for sensory corruptions (Static, Echo, Bloom, Afterimage, Reverb, Palimpsest, Zero Hour).
- Interludes — Short dispatches: found-stream transcripts, program logs, and oral myths from survivors.
- Climax — Broadcast Cathedral: Apocalust orchestrates a mass simulacrum, looping the last great entertainment festival as ritual.
- Aftermath — Dissolution: The program either transcends into distributed myth or degrades into harmless noise; ambiguity maintained.
Navigation and Orientation
"You're peaking, Kael," a voice whispered. It was Lyra, or at least, the version of Lyra the v008 had rendered. In reality, she was a data-scavenger with a missing eye and a cynical sneer. In the Psychodelusional, she was a celestial entity, her skin woven from starlight.

Design Checklist (for projects)
In the face of catastrophic climate change, global pandemics, and technological singularities, apocalyptic ideations have become increasingly prevalent. This paper explores the psychological and neuroscientific underpinnings of end-times delusions, specifically in the context of a post-apocalyptic world. We introduce the concept of "Apocalust v008 Psychodelusional" (APD), a novel framework for understanding the intersection of apocalyptic thinking, psychedelic experiences, and cognitive distortions. Through a mixed-methods approach combining survey research, neuroimaging, and psychopharmacological interventions, we investigate the cognitive and neurological correlates of APD. Our results reveal a complex interplay between default mode network activity, dopamine release, and cognitive biases in the emergence of APD. We discuss the implications of our findings for the development of novel therapeutic approaches and the importance of addressing the psychological toll of existential crises in a rapidly changing world.

AM I GOING TO HAVE TO PRINT THE PDF FILE IT CREATED?
If you file your tax return electronically, you should not have to print it. You can keep an electronic copy for your tax records.
I am seeing conflicting information about the standard deduction for a single senior tax payer. In one place it says $$16,550. and in another it says $15,000.00. Which is correct?
For a single taxpayer, the standard deduction (for 2024) is $14,600. For a taxpayer who is either legally blind or age 65 or older, the standard deduction is $16,550. For a taxpayer who is both legally blind AND age 65 or older, the standard deduction is $18,500.
For 2025, the standard deduction for single taxpayers (without adjustments for age or blindness) is $15,000.
